We are two Primary teachers, each with 22 years experience, teaching from Early Years, Years 1,2,3,4,5, and 6, in addition to Senior Manager roles, in public and private schools. This has given us an in-depth knowledge of how children progress throughout their school life and a strong understanding of the whole learning process. Between us, we have also spent a number of years as whole school Leader of Reading & Writing and whole school Leader of Maths.

'The Twits' Drama Lesson - lesson plan, powerpoint

A fun, complete drama lesson based around Roald Dahl's 'The Twits'. You can still teach this lesson without the text as it includes a transcription of a chapter and a link to a Twits video. Includes; - Lesson plan - Transcription of a chapter - Powerpoint for the lesson - A pupil self assessment sheet to feedback on each other's performance. I have taught this lesson twice for job interviews; it helped me get the job both times!

Growth Mindset Assembly - What is clever? + The brain

This is a Powerpoint presentation which I have used as a whole school assembly to explore - What is clever? It discusses what we need to do to succeed in learning new skills and how the brain works when learning new things.
